Early in his hockey career Trevor played for the South Stormont Minor Hockey Association and for the Seaway Valley AA's. After playing major bantam he was drafted by the Hawkesbury Hawks, starting that year as a defenseman. In 1992-93 Trevor was traded to the Cornwall Colts.
In the fall of 1993 Trevor attended Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario where he played for the South End Rangers of the Thunder Bay Regional Junior B Hockey League. In his first season he was named his team's MVP and the league's Top Defenseman. After graduation from Lakehead he attended the University of Windsor for his Bachelor of Education degree. Playing for the Lancers, Trevor scored 19 points in 26 regular season games. His team finished with a 22-3-1 record and went on to win the Queens Cup in which he scored the winning goal and was named the championship game's MVP. As the Ontario University Athletic Association Champs, the Lancers competed in the National Varsity Championships.
Today Trevor coaches basketball and track and field at Seaway District High School. Many of his track and field athletes have competed at East Regionals and Provincial Championships. Trevor is also an avid golfer and has won the club championship at the Upper Canada Golf Course in 2007 and 2008.
