Sledge Hockey

David Eamer battled back from a crippling truck accident in 1991 to represent Canada twice as a member of the national sledge hockey teams.
After losing the use of his legs, David began playing for the Edmonton Sledge Dogs in 1994, where he was named Rookie of the Year. The following season, he served as team captain and was named Athlete of the Year.
In 1996, he was named to Team Canada and brought home a bronze medal from the first World Championship of sledge hockey in Sweden. In 1998, he was a member of the Canadian national team that claimed the silver medal at the Paralympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan.
