Carol Ann Baxter
Athlete/Builder - Golf
Inducted - 2018
Carol Ann has spent the better part of her life with a golf club in hand. In 1970 she began playing the sport on a family constructed golf course, and this is where she would build a passion for golf and develop a skill set that would lead her to success and a career that most would dream of. In 1993 she joined the CPGA and became an assistant golf professional at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club. By 1994 she qualified and joined the LPGA and started competing on the Futures Tour, Du Maurier Series, and the Moonlight tour based out of Florida. She would later attain class “A” status with the LPGA, act as the head professional at the Cornwall Golf & Country Club, and be the Executive Director for the LPGA of Canada Ottawa Zone.
In 1999 Carol Ann purchased Archie’s Family Golf Centre and has operated the business and provided private lessons. She has been named Regional Director of Eastern Ontario for the National Golf Course Owners’ Association and is a regular contributor to Flagstick Magazine, Flagstick Golf for Women, and Sports Energy.
