Brodie is a student at Rothwell-Osnabruck School in Ingleside. Brodie has participated in every sport at R-O, including hockey, badminton, tennis, volleyball, soccer and basketball. He has also been a member of the school's cross country and track and field teams.
Brodie's impact as an athlete started to show in his last two years at R-O when he became a leader on the basketball court. In 2009, Brodie received the Mark Iwachnuik Award as the most improved payer on the senior boys' basketball team. In 2010, Brodie was his team's MVP and their representative on the SD&G All Star Team. He was also a member of the Upper Canada Ice travelling team that placed third at the Gatineau tournament in the Spring of 2010.
Brodie continuously goes above and beyond for sports in his school and community. He has helped as an assistant coach for R-O's elementary basketball teams and the high school Midget boy's team. and also referees basketball for the Upper Canada Ice Juvenile Girl's House League Program. He is very dedicated to the development of the sport of basketball at R-O and was the recipient of the 2010 R-O Most Dedicated Athlete Award.
