During her high school career she was nominated for several MVP awards and in June 2014 was awarded the Senior Female Athlete of the Year Award.
Brittany was also very active in community sports. Her soccer career started in Ingleside and would later play for local travelling teams including the Cornwall Coyotes. As a goalie in hockey she has competed on both female and male travelling teams with local associations including Cornwall, Glengarry, South Stormont, and Ottawa.
Her passion for the sport of hockey has also led her to pursue refereeing at the minor hockey level. She is one of the few current referees in the South Stormont system to have obtained her level 3 qualifications. She has also been involved with volunteer work with several local minor sports programs including the south Stormont minor soccer association and the south Stormont minor ball hockey association.
