Becky Ouderkirk
Broomball
2007

Becky is an Ingleside area athlete who has made three appearances in the Juvenile Girls National Broomball Championships. Becky has been playing broomball for the last six years, and currently plays for the Eastern Thunder, a select team from the area. While playing with the Thunder, Becky has won a gold, silver and bronze medal at the Nationals. In addition to the travelling team, Becky plays for four other local teams.

At the Nationals in 2006, Becky scored the game winning overtime goal to lift her team to a 2-1 double-overtime gold medal victory. Her team, the Eastern Thunder, went through the entire tournament undefeated.

This past year, the Thunder won a silver medal, losing in sudden death overtime to the Seaway Valley Devils. In 2005, the Thunder captured a bronze medal in Leduc, Alberta.

In Canadian championship play, Becky has amassed 11 goals and 12 assists in her three appearances.
