The Rothwell-Osnabruck Lancers 2014 Girls High School Basketball Team
Inducted - 2023
Rothwell Osnabruck was one of the smallest high schools in Ontario when these girls attended. R-O had approximately 150 students, classifying it as a single “A” school. During the four years that this group of girls played at R-O, they were SD&G champs for three years. They played in the Eastern Ontario Championships for four years, winning two gold medals and one silver. Furthermore, the girls attended tournaments locally and in Ottawa. They won a silver and gold medal at consecutive tournaments at St. Michael’s Catholic High School in Ottawa, defeating double, triple, and quadruple “A” schools. In 2014, R-O hosted OFSAA, which is the provincial championships for single “A” schools. These girls finished the tournament as consolation champions. From day one, the girls were committed to becoming the best they could be, and they worked hard to achieve this success.
